Academic Support Resources

MCA Academic Support Resources

MCA Faculty
Teachers are available during faculty tutoring hours to provide academic assistance and tutoring to the students enrolled in their classes. At these times, the teachers are available to assist students who have attempted the assigned work or studied the lessons and still have questions about understanding the concepts. This is usually not private tutoring as other students may need the teacher’s attention at the same time. For students with consistent tutoring needs and/or one-on-one attention, outside tutoring is advised. We do not recommend any specific tutor or academic support program, however, the below list of resources may be useful in finding suitable support.

MCA National Honor Society Students: FREE
MCA 11th and 12th grade students who are active members of the National Honor Society tutor other students for free. These students have proven academic strengths and have taken the same classes as the students needing tutoring. Contact Tara Ackmann or Kate Perry for a list of possible student tutors. Tutoring can be done at school before/after school or at another time arranged by the students.
