McKinney Christian Academy is governed by a self-perpetuating Board of Trustees, of which at least 50% are parents of current students. The Head of School is an ex-oficio member. At the present time, nine individuals, in addition to the Head of School, comprise the Board.
Board members are born-again believers who model Christ-like love, demonstrate fruits of the Spirit, and are growing in the qualities of an elder, as defined in the Scriptures. MCA Board members have a passion for, and a commitment to, MCA through active participation in the school, while meeting these spiritual qualifications:
- Board members are to be actively involved in a Bible-believing church, and be continually pursuing spiritual growth.
- Board members are to adhere to core Christian doctrine and sign a Statement of Faith.
- Board members are held accountable for Christ-like behavior at school and in the community.
