The PSAT is not only the precursor to the SAT, but it is also the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test in the junior year. The content is designed to measure students’ college readiness at the 11th grade level in reading & writing and mathematics. We administer the PSAT to all MCA students in grades 10 and 11 to measure their progress toward college readiness and to practice and prepare for the SAT college entrance exam.
We value the measures of student learning and the practice provided to the students. We encourage our sophomores to begin preparing for the PSAT in the summer prior to junior year.
MCA is proud to claim 1 National Merit Scholar, 14 National Merit Commended Scholars, and 2 National Hispanic Students in the past 10 years.
