Admissions Process

McKinney Christian Academy (MCA) is pleased to offer admissions to International Students and encourages you to share the experiences of secondary education, and life, in America. MCA values the rich diversity of cultural experience that international students bring to our institution.

Below you will find detailed information on the application and admission process. Please contact Edna Pajela at [email protected] before you start the admissions process. 

Step #1: Complete and Submit Application documents
Required: Application for Admission, School Transcripts in English, Standardized English Proficiency test score (iTEP, TOEFL, TOEFL Jr.), Verification of Finances, Copy of Passport, Birth Certificate, Immunization Records.  All documents need to be translated into English.

Step #2: Interview  (Interviews will be conducted in person, Zoom or WeChat)

Step #3: Decision
If the student is accepted, the ISP Director and Admissions Director will provide a letter of acceptance to the applicant.  Information about all tuition & fees as well as online enrollment directions will be included in the acceptance letter. 

Step #4: I-20 and F1 Visa 
Upon acceptance, MCA will issue the I-20.  The student must apply for the F1 visa immediately and inform the ISP Director of the status. 

Step #5: Enrollment and Payment
Upon approval of the F1 visa, the student must complete the online enrollment process and submit payment by the due date indicated in the acceptance letter.

Step #6: Student Arrival
The student must submit a roundtrip flight information to the ISP director at least three weeks before the departure day from the home country to begin the new school year.  Upon arrival to the United States, the student must inform the ISP director of his/her safe arrival to the Host Family.
