In the fall of 2022, the MCA Board of Trustees made the determination to move forward with the next step of strategic growth within the facilities and MCA Campus Masterplan. The finalization of our Upper School campus, to include a Science - Technology - Engineering - Mathematics wing and an all school multi-purpose building that will also double as an inclement weather storm shelter, was determined as the next needed step for the MCA campus. Thanks to the generosity of our MCA Community, we were able to secure over $6 Million in funding toward this endeavor by August 2024.
In an effort to secure the final $2 Million needed to break ground and begin the project, MCA leadership announced the “Move That Mountain” campaign. 500 Stones were brought in to represent the $2 Million mountain left to move and begin work. These stones, each representing a $4,000 contribution, will be moved and outline the location of the future buildings.
Today, we are $1.278 million dollars away from reaching the finish line and beginning groundbreaking of our new Academic and Multipurpose Buildings! We praise God for this amazing blessing! As of January 16th, we have moved 180 stones and reached 84.95% of our fundraising goal.
