By exploring themes, character development, narrative techniques and cultural contexts, students develop a deeper appreciation for the power of storytelling and its impact on our lives as Christians. The novels we currently study are from different genres (list below - subject to change)

Science

Science 5, BJU Press

This science curriculum is designed to help students develop knowledge of God, encourage Christian growth through the understanding of the Bible worldview, and promote science literacy.
  • Major units of study include creationism, minerals and rocks, fossils and dinosaurs, matter, energy and heat, weather, sound and light.
  • The curriculum begins every lesson with a solid foundation in biblical teachings related to the natural world. This includes but is not limited to passages in Genesis detailing creation, stewardship of the Earth, and the belief in a divine Creator.
  • Overall, our biblical worldview in our science curriculum seeks to equip students with the knowledge, skills and values they need to engage with the natural world in a way that honors both scientific inquiry and biblical truth
  • Students create and present a science fair project using the scientific method. Creating a science fair project is a hands-on learning experience that allows students to explore scientific concepts, develop critical thinking skills, and communicate their findings to others. It encourages curiosity, creativity and a deeper understanding of the scientific process.
