Laura Smith - Upper School Principal - ext. 4325
Laura Smith is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education. She has fourteen years of teaching and administrative experience in a Christian school environment and begins this year as the newly appointed Upper School Principal for MCA. Laura currently holds Texas State Teaching Certifications in Composite Science and Mathematics and is working towards a Master Degree in Education Administration. |

Jaimie Orozco - Assistant - ext. 4306
Jaimie received a B.A. and M.A. in history from California State University Northridge with an emphasis in 19th century US History with a particular focus on Southern studies. She worked as an intern for the Natchez Historical Courthouse Records Preservation. She also served as a teaching assistant to on site courses including Civil War battlefields, WWII and the French Revolution. Prior to joining MCA in 2007, she taught JH English, History, Bible, Latin and HS Government and Economics at Morgan Creek Christian Academy in California. She teaches HS AP Government and History teacher and also is the Assistant to the Upper School Principal.
Her favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you, 'declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" |

Kim Uselton - School Nurse - ext. 4252
Kim joined MCA in 2009 as our School Nurse. She has worked in many areas of various hospitals in Tennessee, Louisiana and Texas. Her favorite areas are Women's and Children's Health.

David Etheredge - Curriculum Coordinator - ext. 4345
David joined MCA in 2009 as our K- 12 Curriculum Coordinator and Health Teacher. David came to us from MISD where he was an Assistant Principal. His teaching experience includes PE, Science and Athletics. He obtained a B.S. from Texas Tech University and a Master's in Education from Texas A&M-Commerce. He is currently a Doctoral candidate in Higher Education at The University of North Texas.
David's favorite scripture verse is Isaiah 55:8-9-"For my thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways my ways," saith the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." |

Kate Perry - Student Registrar - ext. 4335
Kate joined the Admissions Office in 2009. She earned her Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology from the University of Tennessee in 1990. She worked in the Human Resource arena while living in Baton Rouge, LA. After relocating to McKinney, by way of Houston and California, she stayed at home and used her God-given gifts in volunteer work in the churches, classrooms and teaching children in Community Bible Study.
One of her favorite scripture verses is Psalms 62:5-6 - "Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken." |

Kevin Sutton - Athletic Director - ext. 4411
Kevin Sutton graduated in 2002 from the University of Texas at Dallas with a BS Degree in History. He is credentialed by the State of Texas and ACSI. He joined MCA in 2003 and was promoted to Athletic Director in 2007 and continues to teach history and coach football and track.

Judy Collins - Assoc. Athletic Director - ext. 4308
Judy graduated from West Texas State University with a B.S. in Social Work. She joined MCA in 2007 as our Journalism Department Advisor . In addition to this position, she is currently our Associate Athletic Director, head Coach for girls volleyball and junior high head coach for girl's basketball.

Jeff Anderson
Jeff graduated in 1992 from the University of Memphis with a BA degree in English. In 1999, he received a MS degree from Texas A&M University at Commerce. He is also working on his second Master's Degree in English. He joined MCA in 2002 and currently teaches Bible, is the US Curriculum coordinator, Assistant Varsity Football Coach and Assistant Varsity Boys' Basketball Coach. Prior to joining the staff at McKinney Christian Academy, he taught Junior High School and Senior English, Literature, and Bible at Christian Life Schools in Rockford, Illinois and High School Bible and History at Metropolitan Christian in Dallas, Texas.

Amy graduated in 2001 from Texas Christian University with a BA degree in Religious Studies and a Minor in Music. She holds a MTS from Duke University Divinity School in Durham, North Carolina. Amy joined MCA in 2004 and teaches 7th and 8th grade Bible. She also coaches Volleyball.

John Keyes
John joined MCA in 2009 as our Earth Science and Bible Teacher as well as our Student Life Director. Jane joined MCA in 2007 with 16+ years of teaching experience. She obtained her B.A. in Secondary ED and Masters in Speech Communication form Central Michigan University. She teaches English in 7th-12th grades as well as our AP English classes.

Amanda graduated from The University of North Texas with a degree in education. She joined MCA in 2008 and teaches Junior High English and is the Junior High cheerleader sponsor.

Sandy Sims
Sandy joined MCA in 2007 as our Junior High Spanish Teacher and Missions Coordinator. She obtained her B.S. in Speech and Language Pathology from UTD and her ESL certification. She previously taught bilingual Kindergarten for 2 years at Finch Elementary School in McKinney, TX.

Laurie Hubert
Laurie joined MCA in 2003. She graduated in 1989 from Texas Woman's University with a BS degree in History. She holds a lifetime Texas Teaching Certificate in History and English. Prior to joining the staff at McKinney Christian Academy, she taught Government, Advanced Placement History, Honors World History, and U.S. History at Little Elm High School in Little Elm, Texas. At MCA, she teaches American History and English Literature.

Lance Alford
Lance graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with a B.B.A. in Finance and Economics. He joined MCA in 2007 after teaching 6 years in the public school system. He teaches History, Economics and is the Middle School Head Football Coach as well as the Head Baseball Coach.

Michael Tucker
Mike joined MCA in 2007 after teaching Science and Math in Memphis, TN for 31 years. He currently teaches Math, is one of our varsity football coaches and is our Crisis Management Coordinator.

Mike Carlson
Mike joined MCA in 2005 and earned his Masters degree from Rutgers University and his Bachelors from Northern Michigan University. He teaches Algebra II, PreCalculus and Calculus. He has five+ years of teaching experience and 33 years as a computer systems analyst.

Andrea graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a B.S. in Business Administration in 2006. She then obtained her Teacher's Certification and joined MCA in 2006. She teaches Junior High math and Algebra and is the Student Government Sponsor.

Michael Bah
Michael graduated in 1971 from the University of Minnesota with BA degrees in Biology and Physical Education. He also holds a MS, a MPH, and a Ph. D. He joined MCA in 2002 with fifteen years of teaching experience. Prior to joining the staff at McKinney Christian Academy, he taught at Tulane University in New Orleans and at Lake Country Christian School in Fort Worth. At MCA, he teaches Physical Science, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology.

Doug Bah
Dr. Doug Bah joined MCA in 2005 as our JH Science and Health teacher. He received his Doctor of Chiropractic from Northwestern College of Chiropractic and his B.A. from the University of Minnesota with degrees in Biology and PE and Health. He has three years teaching experience and many years as a Chiropractor.

Dan Bellue
Dan Bellue is fulfilling his life dream by teaching in a Christian school. He joined MCA in 2006 after serving over 40 years in the US Air Force and with NASA. He holds his BS in Mathematics and his MS in Meteorology. He teaches statistic and physics and at MCA.

Jeremy Knight joined MCA in 2005 as our US Band and Choir teachers. He brought with him six years of teaching experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Pensacola Christian. He is a member of Texas Private School Music Educators (TPSMEA).

Kevin Marshall joined MCA in 2005. He graduataed from Oklahoma Christian College, Abilene Christian University and Bear Valley School of Biblical Studies with a majors in Advertising Design, Journalism/Mass Communication and a minor in Bible. He taught at CCCCD and owned Alpha Graphics.

Dan Collins joined MCA in 2006 from Dade Christian School in Miami. He grew up near Detroit, graduated from Cedarville University with a BA in P.E., and for the past 20 years taught Physical Education and Health at Dade. He continues teaching both of these subjects at MCA as well as assuming a coaching role.

Shirley McClain
Shirley McClain grew up in New Orleans, but made her way to Dallas in 1991. She serves in our Library, substitutes in the Lower School, and fills in as our School receptionist during the summer. She previously taught preschool.

Michael McIntyre - Network Administrator
Michael graduated in 1997 from Mansfield University in Pennsylvania with a BSE degree in Spanish. He is a certified teacher in Pennsylvania, New York and ACSI. Michael began his teaching career in 1999. Prior to joining the staff at McKinney Christian Academy in 2004, he taught Spanish and Computer at New Covenant Academy in Mansfield, Pennsylvania. In June 2008, he obtained certification as a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) and as a CompTIA Professional (Sec+). Now, he is our Network Adminstrator, Technology Teacher and the webmaster for our website.
