Spiritual Growth

The goal of MCA is to see students progress in personal spiritual growth. We believe this can be accomplished in many areas both on and off campus. The greatest opportunity for spiritual growth are loving, seeing and doing.

We want each student to develop a love for the Lord Jesus Christ. Luke 10:27-28 "So he answered and said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself. And he answered rightly; do this and you will live."

Each student will have a teacher that is committed to a personal spiritual growth of their own. Teachers have a mandate from the Bible to watch out for their students. Hebrews 13:17 "Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you." We believe that Spiritual Growth is caught as much as taught. Since the MCA teachers are modeling spiritual growth of their own, this will create a positive environment for the students to do the same.

Finally, many opportunities to perform tasks that will enhance spiritual growth are given at MCA. We offer a student led "praise team" in chapel, student led devotions on athletic teams, mission trips, testimonies, praise and prayer in class. In addition we involve students in community service. This encourages spiritual growth because each act of kindness performed by MCA is done through the Love and Care of Jesus Christ. Matthew 20:28 "Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many."
