Ways to Volunteer
At McKinney Christian Academy we know from experience that if a parent, grandparent or special friend becomes fully engaged with their child or student at every opportunity, the educational and life experiences of students, parents, teachers and the MCA staff is greatly enhanced. Consequently, it is the expectation and goal that parents become fully engaged with their children during their time at MCA.
Volunteerism can take many forms. The Lower School years are when the personal relationship is being built between you and your child. In the pre-school and lower school, being active in the PTF, volunteering to read in your child’s classroom on a regular basis, being a room mom or dad, being a chaperone on a field trip or just showing up one day to have a surprise lunch with your son or daughter is extremely rewarding. In the upper school, volunteering might mean helping as a coach, becoming involved in the Stampede Club, providing a helping hand with fine arts productions or offering your professional experience in an internship or mentoring capacity.
