Eligibility & Extracurricular

Eligibility Guidelines

Extracurricular participation at MCA is a valuable part of the students’ school experience as they learn to live biblically and apply their best efforts in multiple aspects of their lives.  The many opportunities in academics, arts, and athletics enhance the students’ learning and provide greater ways for them to use their God-given, unique gifts and talents. Extracurricular participation is defined at MCA as participation in any competitions representing MCA.  Examples include athletic team competitions, fine arts competitions, and TAPPS or ACSI academic competitions.  Guidelines are in place to measure the academic standing of students to determine their eligibility to participate in extracurricular competitions.  A period of ineligibility is designed to allow the student more time to focus on academic success. Eligibility guidelines apply to all extracurricular participation and are outlined in the Parent/Student Handbook.
