Spiritual Growth

The goal of MCA is to see students progress in personal spiritual growth. We believe this can be accomplished in many areas both on and off campus. We strive to create the greatest opportunities for spiritual growth in an environment that is founded in Christ's love and built on taking action for His purposes.

We want each student to develop a loving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

“So he answered and said, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself. And he answered rightly; do this and you will live.” - Luke 10:27-28

Each student will have teachers that are committed to personal spiritual growth of their own. Teachers have a mandate from the Bible to watch out for their students.

“Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.” - Hebrews 13:17

We believe that spiritual growth is caught as much as taught. Since the MCA teachers are modeling spiritual growth of their own, this will create a positive environment for the students to do the same.

Finally, MCA offers many opportunities to enhance spiritual growth.  We offer these through a student-led "praise team", student-led devotions, mission trips, personal testimony, and other Christ-based activities.  Student are encouraged to lead in prayer in the classroom and are given opportunities to participate in community service.  Likewise, in all other extra-curricular activies, student are encouraged by their coaches/sponsors to be Christian leaders on and off the field, court, or activity location.  Each act of kindness performed by MCA is done through the love and care of Jesus Christ.

“Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.” - Matthew 20:28
