Head of School
Keith has over twenty-one years of teaching and administrative experience, all in a Christian school enviroment. Prior to joining the staff at McKinney Christian Academy, he taught various subjects at Dade Christian School in Miami, Florida, Westminster Academy in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Zion Lutheran School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, Texas.
Keith and his wife, Karen, have two children that attend MCA. He enjoys spending time with his family, attending sporting events, traveling and home repair projects. The Bollinger Family is a member of Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in Allen, TX.
Keith's favorite Scripture verse is Joshua 1:9 - "Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."
Lower School Principal
Debi Sass, the Lower School Principal, graduated from Kansas State University with a B.S. degree in Education and a major in Art in 1976. She completed her M.S. in Education with an emphasis in reading shortly thereafter. She now holds administrative certification, professional development and appraisal certification, and instructional leadership training from the state of Texas. She recently completed another Master's degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in Dallas, and is finishing her doctoral work at Nova Southeastern University in Florida.
Ms. Sass taught school for twenty years before going into administration. After receiving her administrative certification, she trained administrators throughout the Dallas metroplex for two years. Debi then served as Director of Children's Ministries at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
Ms. Sass enjoys a multitude of creative domestic endeavors, church choir, reading, playing with her grandchildren and travel. She attends Cornerstone Christian Church in Dallas.
Her favorite Scripture verse is Ephesians 3:20- "Now glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or imagine-infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts or hopes."
Upper School Principal
Laura Smith is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education. She has fourteen years of teaching and administrative experience in a Christian school environment and begins this year as the newly appointed Upper School Principal for MCA. Laura currently holds Texas State Teaching Certifications in Composite Science and Mathematics and is working towards a Master Degree in Education Administration.
For the last two years, Mrs. Smith has served MCA as Academic Counselor, Registrar and English Teacher. She and her husband have three daughters: a graduate of the University of North Texas, and two that attend MCA Upper School. The Smith family resides in Rockwall, Texas and they are members of the First Baptist Church of Rockwall.
Laura enjoys photographing sporting events, reading, commuting, and cheering on our Mustangs to victory.
Her favorite scripture verse is Isaiah 41:10 - "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Athletic Director
Kevin Sutton graduated in 2002 from the University of Texas at Dallas with a BS degree in Historical Studies. He is credentialed by the State of Texas and ACSI.
In addition to being the Athletic Director at McKinney Christian Academy, he will also be coaching football and track.
Mr. Sutton and his wife Cristi have two sons and they attend Calvary Chapel of Plano. He enjoys spending time with his wife and sons, and he also enjoys athletics.
Mr. Sutton's favorite Scripture verse is Romans 5:8 - "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
