Academic Guidance

The Guidance Office exists to provide academic support services for Upper School students and parents. We are available to assist students in the areas of course and diploma selection, testing, college applications and college selection.

The Guidance Office has additional roles at the Upper School. The Registrar maintains all of the academic records such as report cards and transcripts. We monitor academic standing and eligibility. Standardized testing programs such as PSAT, PLAN, Stanford, and AP exams are administered through the Guidance office.

Standardized Testing
Each fall, MCA administers the PSAT and PLAN (Pre-ACT) tests to all 9th-11th grade students. Seventh and eighth grade students take the Stanford Achievement Test each spring.

Juniors and Seniors are encouraged to register to take the SAT and ACT multiple times prior to applying for colleges of their choice. Scores will be sent to the Guidance Counselor and reported on all official transcripts. Please follow the respective links to the right to register for the SAT or ACT.
